The Band

We play the songs your guests already know

High Society has spent twelve years learning what actually moves a wedding crowd — and it is rarely the trendiest song of the moment.

We started out playing Garth Brooks and Tom Petty covers in bars around Oxford and the Delta on Friday nights, which turned out to be exactly the right training for weddings. Those rooms teach you to read a crowd fast, keep the energy up between songs, and never let the floor go quiet.

Now we bring that to receptions across North Mississippi — Southaven down to Greenville, Tupelo over to Oxford. The set moves from country to rock to a rap medley without losing anybody, because the goal is not to showcase the band. It is to keep your grandmother and your college roommates on the floor at the same time.

We handle the ceremony audio, the cocktail hour, the introductions, and the toasts. You get one vendor for the entire day, and one point of contact who actually answers the phone.

A packed wedding dance floor with the band playing on stage under string lights.

Crowd favorites — the ones that reliably fill a floor. Don't see your song? We learn requests.

What You Get

One band, everything included

No tiers to compare and nothing held back for an upgrade. We show up with the full band, the full rig, and the whole song list — then build the quote around your date, your venue, and how long you need us.

The full band

Guitar, bass, drums, keys, and vocals — the whole song list, with a horn section available when the room calls for it.

Sound and lighting

We bring the PA, the monitors, and the stage lighting, and we run it ourselves. No separate AV vendor to book.

Ceremony and cocktail hour

Live acoustic arrangements or curated playlists through our system — most couples do a mix of both.

Playlists between sets

The music never stops. We DJ curated playlists during breaks so the room keeps its energy.

MC for the reception

Introductions, toasts, and keeping the timeline on track, at no extra cost and with no separate MC to hire.

Your first dance, learned

Give us six weeks and a preferred version of the song, and we will have it ready and play it right.

Every quote is custom

Pricing depends on the date, the drive, and the length of the night. Send us your details and we'll get you a number the same day.

Nobody sat down

Nobody sat down. Not once. My grandmother was out there for Copperhead Road and I have the photos to prove it.
Katie & Ryan

They read the room better than any DJ we saw. When the energy dipped they went straight into the rap medley and the floor refilled in about ten seconds.
Alyssa & Marcus
Southaven, MS
They learned our first dance song and played it better than the record. Guests are still texting us about the band six months later.

Questions

Good to know

How far will you travel?

We cover the northern half of Mississippi with no travel fee — Southaven, Oxford, Tupelo, Greenville, and everywhere between. We also play Memphis and the surrounding Delta regularly. Anything beyond about two hours we are glad to do; we just add travel and lodging to the quote.

Can you play our ceremony and cocktail hour too?

Yes — it is included. We cover ceremony and cocktail-hour audio. We can play acoustic arrangements live, or run curated playlists through our system — most couples do a mix of both.

Will you learn a song that is not on your list?

Happily. A learned request is included, and it is usually the first dance. Give us six weeks and a preferred version and we will have it ready.

Do you MC the reception?

We do, at no extra cost. Our front person handles introductions, toasts, and the timeline so you are not hiring a separate MC or leaning on a friend with a microphone.

What do you need from the venue?

A stage or clear floor area of roughly 12x16 feet, and two dedicated 20-amp circuits. We load in about three hours before guests arrive and handle all our own gear.

How do we hold our date?

A signed agreement and a 50% retainer hold it. The balance is due two weeks before the event. Send us the form below and we will confirm availability within a day.
